Oldham, Greater Manchester, UK — 19th May 2026:
One Dimensional Creatures announce that they will be moving forward
as a power-trio. Long time guitarist Chris Tighe (lead guitar,
backing vocals) performed his final show with the band at the
DMF Weekender in Dewsbury on Saturday 2nd May 2026. Chris is
stepping back due to family and work commitments, and the band
wish him nothing but the best.
The remaining members — Ste Wilson (lead vocals, guitar),
Ollie Chapman (bass, backing vocals), and
Piotr Ignatowicz (drums) — have already begun reshaping
their sound as a three piece. Ste has been sharpening his lead
guitar work and will now switch between rhythm and lead across
the band's live set. As they move toward their second album,
the trio are focusing on writing songs that hit hard live and
reworking their growing back catalogue to suit the new format.
Lead singer and guitarist Ste Wilson says:
“We're obviously sad to see Chris go,
but we're mega excited for the future of the band as a
power-trio. We're not going to hold back on lead when
writing songs — half the tracks on Tolerance Paradox
have more than two guitar lines anyway. What we will
be doing is making sure all our tracks, both old and new,
sound massive on stage.”
The band are now back in the practice room writing new material
for their yet to be named second album and preparing for upcoming
shows as a three piece. Fans can next catch the power-trio live at
Northern Guitars Café Bar in Leeds on Saturday 30th May 2026.
