BIO
One Dimensional Creatures are a four-piece alternative punk/post-post/grunge band from Greater Manchester, UK. They formed in mid-2023 (officially 1st June 2023) and released their debut single Media Mass on 28th of June the same year. They have a hard-working, DIY, punk ethic. Writing, recording, mixing, mastering and releasing all their own music and videos. They have played gigs around the north of England including a sell-out hometown gig and an in-store gig in HMV in central Manchester. Their music has been featured on many radio stations, podcasts and Spotify playlists including Future Hits Radio, Big City Radio, The Big Slice, and Radio Wigwam. Their track 'Hail the Crown' reached number one in The Late Show Chart on Future Hits Radio and they won Artist of the week on the same show in June 2024. RGM Magazine describe them as sounding like "IDLES mixed with The Murder Capital with a smattering of Joy Division and a healthy dose of old-skool punk".

They started 2025 as they mean to go on with the release of their numbered limited run CD only EP,
'Welcome to Serfdom', the single, 'The Dark' and a gig in at Signature Brew Haggerston in London
alongside some awesome bands such as Heavy Lungs, Loose Articles, and Sick Joy. With every performance
they continue to energize crowds with their ripping punky sound and meaningful lyrics.
As their body of work continues to grow, they too grow in confidence and are set to make their
mark on the UK alternative rock scene.

'FREEDOM IS HATE' is the seventh single from One Dimensional Creatures and was released
on 1st November 2024 on streaming and download platforms. It
launched with a dark music video on YouTube, inspired by the works of the great Chris Morris.
Freedom is Hate is a high energy, gritty guitar fuelled track. Its punchy verses rhythmically
shout about the rot of neoliberalism in the UK. The lies the ruling class don't tell,
the secrets they don't keep. The booming bass, energetic drums, and crunchy guitars drive
the track forward with urgency. The chorus hits hard with an added layer of heavy fuzzed-up
guitars and a transition to a more grungy singing style. The angry vocals soar over the web of
distorted instruments peaking with the track's title lyric, “Freedom is hate, you wouldn't lie
to us this way?” giving the chorus an almost anthemic, sing-a-long quality. The track is driven
forward with unrelenting energy and, with a length of less than two and a half minutes,
is quite moreish.The track has over 10k streams on Spotify alone.
'MARCH IN LINE' is the sixth single from One Dimensional Creatures and was
released on 30th August 2024 on streaming and download platforms. The song quickly
erupts into a distorted mass of heavy instruments. The drums pound, driving the track forward
with aggression. The vocals show the duality of the politicians and oligarchs that control us.
Ste sings with an almost soothing voice about being a friend and how they will help us,
playing the role of a member of the ruling class. Ollie contrasts this with quick harsh shouts
telling us to “get in line!”. The track climaxes in a chorus of “march in line!” where the
opposing voices are joined by jarring, edgy lead riffs from Chris and massive, pounding
bassy toms from Ventura.
'HAIL THE CROWN' is the fifth single from One Dimensional Creatures and was released on 26th
April 2024 on streaming and download platforms. 'Hail The Crown' begins with menacing grunts of
fuzzed-up guitars and bass slowly building in tempo with each blow of the drum.
Disjointed lead guitars wail over the top, screaming faster and faster until they break into
feedback and, boom! The track erupts into the main riff. Ste's laid-back vocals flow over the
rioting instruments, singing of police brutality and a lack of trust in them to police peaceful
protests and vigils. Ste's relaxed vocals continue into chorus which contrast with the now heavily
amped-up guitars and the actual meaning of the lyrics.
'MY NOOSE' is the fourth single from One Dimensional Creatures and was released on 28th
February 2024 on streaming and download platforms. It's a punky beast of a track with lyrics that focus on the
Tory Party's destruction of Britain. The track reached 1,000 Spotify streams in its first week on the platform
and now has over 8k streams.
'PETER PAN' is the third single from One Dimensional Creatures and was released on 25th
October 2023 on streaming and download platforms. It's a grungy guitar based alternative rock track with lyrics that
focus on how we live in the shadow of the rich and powerful, and how the 'game' is weighted against us from the very start.
It's gained over 7k streams on Spotify and received a glowing review from writer Lacey Wait at RGM Magazine saying:
"Beneath the sneering topline is a bed of overdriven instrumentation;
crunchy bass, scratching lead guitar, and ferocious drums.
The ensemble packs a solid punch, erupting in angst and rage."

'BAITED CHAINS (LIMITED EDITION) EP CD', released on 2nd October 2023 and is the first physical release by One Dimensional Creatures, it's
currently only available at gigs. The CD had an initial individually numbered limited run of 50 with a further, un-numbered limited run
once it sold out. The EP features 6-tracks. The first three singles, Media Mass, Bleed The Markets, and Peter Pan, an exclusive acoustic track called
Trickle Down Effect (Acoustic), radio edits of 2 of the singles, and a reversible front cover.
'BLEED THE MARKETS' is the second single from One Dimensional Creatures and was released on 6th
September 2023 on streaming and download platforms. The track has become a fan favourite with over 230k streams on Spotify alone.
The track bursts into your ears with its driving distorted bassline and angry guitars. The punk-infused lyrics speak of
governments that don't listen to their people. In true punk style One Dimensional Creatures rip through the song at speed, it reaches its gritty climax
in less than 2 minutes with a furious scream of 'now bleed!' from lead singer Ste. Bleed The Markets was played on numerous radio stations and podcasts including
Future Hits, Unsigned With Matt Wherry, Hive Radio UK, The Big Slice Manchetser, Igneous Podcast and more.
'MEDIA MASS', the debut single from One Dimensional Creatures, launched on 28th June 2023 and received over 1000 streams on
Spotify in its first 2 weeks and over 30k streams to date. It was voted, by listeners, into the 'Distrokid Rock' Spotify playlist
in the Distrokid Spotlight competition. It featured in numerous other Spotify playlists including, Rock Central, Pop Lab by popsify.io, This Is Music,
Alternative Rock - The Mix, and Bread Record's Local Loaf (local Manchester playlist). It gained radio play on a number of shows/stations including

Hive Radio UK's 'Independent Music Show',

'The Beautiful Indie Show' on Hive Radio UK, Radio Wigwam, Noisebox Radio, Krac Radio, and Lonely Oak Radio.
PRESS & RADIO PLAY
One Dimensional Creatures tracks have been played on numerous radio and online radio stations including 'Unsigned With Matt Wherry' for Future Hits Radio, 'The Big Slice', 'Gunslingers & Outlaws - Indies Most Wanted' on Radio Wigwam, Wayne Moseley's 'The Beautiful Indie Show' on 'Hive Radio UK' and 'Big City Radio', as well as being played on 'Isllington Radio', 'Big Condo Radio', Radio Seagull, Banks Radio Austrailia, and 'Amazing Radio'. The tracks were also added to rotation on Radio Wigwam, Noisebox Radio, Krac Radio as well as gaining some airplay on Lonely Oak Radio and Bleed The Markets featured in The Igneous Podcast. The band achieved number one in 'The Late Show' with Matt Wherry on Future Hits Radio chart in June 2024 with their single Hail the Crown. They also won Future Hits Artist of the Week the same month. RGM Magazine wrote positive reviews of Peter Pan and Freedom is Hate. Pete's Rock, News and Views interviewed Ste about being in the band here, and Mad About Rock wrote an article about One Dimensional Creatures and Bleed The Markets. The band have also recieved local press in Oldham and Manchester papers. The tracks have featured in numerous Spotify playlists and collectively have over 320k streams from over 50k unique listeners on the platform.

BAND MEMBER BACKGROUND
Ste Wilson (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, production & recording) has been writing, performing, and recording music for years. He grew up in Rochdale and Todmorden and played his first gig at Hebden Bridge Trades Club in the late 90s. As a singer-songwriter, having moved to London in the 00s, Ste performed his political acoustic-punk tracks in any venue that would let him. After moving to South Korea in 2007 he formed the band, Electric Fan Death (EFD), and released an EP titled Yeosu Dangerous. Ste still works on EFD tracks from time to time. He moved to Thailand in 2013 and started to focus on his recording and production skills. When he moved back to Greater Manchester, UK in 2017 he quickly set up a home studio and started writing tracks with the intention of forming a band. In 2023 that band became a reality and One Dimensional Creatures was born. He has also written, recorded, and produced a soundtrack for a video game on PlayStation. Ste often plays the acoustic circuit in Manchester at venues like The Whiskey Jar and The Turk's Head; testing out One Dimensional Creatures' tracks with the Manchester crowd.
Ollie Chapman (bass guitar, backing vocals) grew up in Todmorden. He has been in various bands since he left university and moved to London in the early 00s. He performed as a bassist and backing vocalist in the alternative indie rock band Trick Switch. They played gigs around London and the Southwest including gigs at the Fighting Cocks in Kingston-Upon-Thames, and the Half Moon in Putney. He was bassist for the originals band The Gentleman's Club and the covers band Elm Street Groove. Ollie has started writing tracks for One Dimes, some of which will feature on the, yet to be named, debut album.
Chris Tighe (lead guitar, backing vocals) grew up in Manchester and moved to Todmorden at the age of nine. He's played guitar since he was a kid. He's always wanted to be in a band, but things have never quite worked out until now. He has quite a few fx pedals and loves experimenting with different guitar tones and synth like sounds. He writes lead lines for One Dimes and is a master with a looper pedal allowing him to play multiple lead lines at the same time in certain songs, including the band's third single Peter Pan. Underneath the seemingly static stage presence, his hands pick away frantically at his six string whilst his feet tap dance on his FX pedals.
Piotr Ignatowicz (drums, beat maker) has been playing drums for years and has played in bands and arrangements of many styles and genres.
