Oldham, Greater Manchester, UK — 10th August 2026:
One Dimensional Creatures are buzzing to announce the upcoming
release of their new single, Stuck in 1984, on major streaming
and download platforms on Friday 14th August 2026. It is their
first single from their, yet to be named, second album.
Stuck in 1984 is a tense, distorted blast of alt punk and
post punk dissonance, channelling the inequality of modern
Britain through an Orwellian lens. Driven by saturated guitars,
beastly bass, pounding rhythms and urgent vocals, the track
confronts media narratives, class politics, and manufactured
fear with raw energy and grit. It's loud, sharp and defiant,
a protest song for the present day.
Lead singer and guitarist Ste Wilson says:
“This is a huge sounding track of
ripping guitars and guttural bass that shows how the media
and politicians turn the world on its head to further their
agendas.”
The single contains both the explicit version of the track and the radio edit. One Dimensional Creatures will be performing Stuck in 1984 at all upcoming gigs. Fans can catch the band next at Grand Central in Manchester on 18th August 2026.
