PRESS RELEASE - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 'Growth Extractors' - New Single by One Dimensional Creatures
16th September 2026
Oldham, Greater Manchester, UK — 16th September 2026:
One Dimensional Creatures are excited to announce the upcoming
release of their new single, Growth Extractors, on major streaming
and download platforms on Friday 25th September 2026.
Growth Extractors channels a raw grunge snarl into a critique of governments obsessed
with economic growth while ordinary people are pushed further into hardship; driven by
fuzzed-up guitars and a relentless rhythm section, the track frames productivity as a
form of extraction. A machine that mines human labour while celebrating empty metrics,
leaving working lives stripped down and stretched thin.
Lead singer and guitarist Ste Wilson says:
“Every government keeps telling us that cuts
and sacrifice will somehow grow the economy, but it never does.
We tried to reflect that tension in the song through the heavy
guitars and big sounding drums.”
The single contains both the explicit version of the track and the radio edit. One Dimensional Creatures will be performing Growth Extractors at all upcoming gigs and the track will feature on their, yet to be named, second album. Fans can catch the band next at Santiago Bar in Leeds on 25th September 2026 with Hawxx and Facepalm.
