Oldham, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom - 6th August 2024: One Dimensional Creatures are excited to announce the launch of their sixth single, March in Line, on 30th August 2024 on streaming and download platforms. March in Line kicks-off with an angry riff on guitar that's quickly joined by a massive bass as the song erupts into a distorted mass of heavy instruments. The drums pound, driving the track forward with aggression. The vocals show the duality of the politicians and oligarchs that control us. Ste sings with an almost soothing voice about being a friend and how they will help us, playing the role of a member of the ruling class. Ollie contrasts this with quick harsh shouts telling us to “get in line!”. The track climaxes in a chorus of “march in line!” where the opposing voices are joined by jarring, edgy lead riffs from Chris and massive, pounding bassy toms from Ventura.
Lead singer and rhythm guitarist, Ste Wilson, says “The track shows how the ruling class pretend to be doing what is best for us but really they just want to control us to line their pockets”. The cover art was painted by Paul Wilson and is a scene on the Manchester Ship Canal, featuring the four band members as shadowesque silhouettes near a wall covered in graffiti. The single, March in Line, features March in Line (Radio Edit), a clean, radio friendly version. One Dimensional Creatures will be playing March in Line at gigs from now on and the track will feature on their up-coming, yet to be named, debut album.
About Paul Wilson (Cover Artist):
Paul Wilson is a Manchester based artist who was a founding member of the Emrbyo group, a group of painters, sculpters, and poets in the Manchester area in the 1970's. He has exhibited his work all over the UK and abroad. He is also the father of Ste Wilson, the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist in One Dimensional Creatures.
